Thinking Outside The Box
Local merchants get creative to stay on top

Here's an excerpt from the article that appeared in City Sun Times:
In downtown Scottsdale, two independent photographers, Tina Celle and Melissa Mulera recently teamed up and then discovered a new market after opening their business, Studio No 5. “When we first got together we each had our own businesses shooting weddings, events and family portraits. I also had fashion experience and Melissa had her fine art background. We had an “aha” moment and soon found a niche in pinup and beautiful boudoir photography, after seeing a demand for it.”
They’ve also found social networking and online coupon sites, such as Living Social, a help in providing a way for customers to find them. They were even recently highlighted on ABC 15 and Arizona Foothills Magazine.
“We make every client feel and look like a super model for the day,” adds Celle. “We want to offer a wide variety of products to accommodate all budgets.”
Imagination and creative talent along with hard work is paying off for these Valley businesses by thinking outside the “business” box.
